RELIGION

Religion is called a cultural universal because it is found in all human societies. To fathom the why of what people do and say, we must understand the religious beliefs that shape their world-views.

Islam is the world’s second largest religion, with about 1.6 billion followers in 2010 (more than 20 percent of the earth’s population).
